when it's right, it's scary

When something feels right, it rarely feels safe. I always found it paradoxical, how the path that calls to you doesn't soothe. No, it unsettles. Instead of assurance, it's often accompanied by a racing heart and a lingering, daunting whisper: What if I fail? What if I can't do this? What if this changes everything?

When something aligns with who you are - whether it’s the right relationship, right career path, a creative pursuit, or even the mere decision of abandoning the familiar - it will shake up your entire foundation, rattles the ground beneath you. It will unearth the parts of you that still cling to comfort, the parts that don't feel ready.

"Are you ready for this yet?" It challenges. Your answer should be yes. Because you asked for this. You've been yearning for it, dreaming of it, aching towards it, and now that it stands before you, it feels terrifying.

That's because right isn't synonymous with comfort or safety. No, right is expansive, and expansion, naturally, requires you to step beyond the borders of who you've been. The scariness isn’t a warning; it’s a signal. It means you reached the edge of something that mattered to you. If it didn’t, it wouldn’t shake you.

Note to self: When you feel that scary pull, don't run away. Because when it's right, it's supposed to be scary. And when it's scary in that way, you know it has the power to change everything.
